Essential Grounding

Mathematics defines the world around us in terms of numbers and symbols. It is a language in itself, and our goal is to ensure that our learners become confident in the use of mathematical skills and techniques. This grounding will serve them in all areas of activity and will be of life-long benefit.

Mathematical Skills

The aim of Mathematics is to provide a real understanding of how numbers relate to each other. Thus, it deals with the observing, representing, and investigating of patterns and relationships. Through mathematical engagement, many capacities are developed. These are associated with logical and critical thinking, accuracy, problem solving, and decision making.

"Children will not remember you for the material things you provided, but for the feeling that you cherished them."

- Richard Evans

Specialised Tuition And Enrichment

Hudson Park has several Academies which provide extension for children with particular abilities. Specialist educators are employed, and the children can participate in accelerated learning programmes. Our Mathematics Academy caters for the most promising pupils in each class, from Grade 3 to 7.

Our learners regularly take part in the CLUSTER MATHEMATICS MENTAL COMPETITION hosted by Stirling Primary and the CONQUESTA OLYMPIAD.
