Learners thoroughly enjoy Life Skills as it has direct bearing on their everyday lives. Whatever is learned in school can immediately be applied outside it, and this subject opens the doors to creativity and self-fulfillment. It extends learners' knowledge of the environment and developes their capacities in Music, Visual Arts, Drama, and Physical Education.
We believe that the best teaching is often through example, and our staff is careful to demonstrate the ideals of balance and respect for others in their behavior. These are core values in Hudson Park’s philosophy. Attention is also given to human virtues, and during lessons, the learners are encouraged to show compassion, respect, consideration, and other virtues through their actions.
Brief notes on the subjects offered at Hudson Park in the Intermediate and Senior Phases can be accessed via the menu below.
Our Curriculum covers the areas of development which are listed below:
The subject is wide-ranging, not only in the topics it encompasses, but also in the skills which are developed through participation in its activities. Such skills include those related to reading, researching, summarizing, oral and written presentation, planning, organization, and problem solving. Fine and gross motor skills are also developed, along with creativity.
Hudson Park has several Academies which cater to the needs of children with particular abilities. Specialist educators and coaches are employed, enabling us to offer accelerated learning programmes for our learners.
Our learners take part in various competitions and eisteddfodau, and all our learners are involved in at least one dramatic production, each year. Many learners also participate in the Life Skills section of the CONQUESTA OLYMPIAD.
